ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Separate sealed bids for the 2022 Walnut Industrial Park – 4” High Pressure Natural Gas Pipeline Extension, for The Town of Walnut, Tippah County, Mississippi will be received by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen in the Town Office at 621 Main Street, Walnut, Mississippi 38683 until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at which time and place all Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Walnut. Each sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside as “Bid for 2022 Walnut Industrial Park – 4” High Pressure Natural Gas Pipeline Extension, for The Town of Walnut, Tippah County, Mississippi”. Any bid for a sum in excess of $50,000.00 shall contain on the outside or exterior of the envelope of such bid the contractor’s current certificate of responsibility number, and no bid shall be opened or considered unless such contractor’s current certificate number appears on the outside or exterior of the envelope or unless there appears a statement on the outside or exterior of such envelope to the effect that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.00.

Contract time shall be 90 consecutive calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Walnut Town Office on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. All bidders are encouraged to attend.

The work will include furnishing and installing approximately 11,000 linear feet of 4-inch Grade X52 epoxy coated (0.188 wall thickness) high pressure natural gas pipeline including one (1) 300’ directional bore under a creek crossing, one (1) 300’ directional bore beneath commercial driveways, two (2) 80’ directional bores beneath roadways, and two (2) 4-inch pipe connections to existing 4-inch high pressure main with valves. Contractor to perform all required leak and strength pressure tests to meet MAOP requirements (MAOP=242psi) and shall jeep, repair holidays, coat all below ground piping, purge, pack and place in service.

Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
